Rectangular Senneh Persian rug with confirmed provenance from Persia. The red field is outlined by a stepped profile and centred on a blue medallion filled with geometric and floral motifs. Two broad dark sections at the ends contain dense multicoloured decoration. Multiple borders frame the composition with repeating geometric forms in blue, red, ivory and yellow. Light fringes complete the short sides, while the balanced arrangement gives the design a clear visual structure.
