Returns, refunds and right of withdrawal

At Shahmansouri Persian Rugs, each rug and handmade piece is presented with care, with the aim of describing as clearly as possible its characteristics, measurements, materials, origin, availability and general condition.

Many items in the catalogue are one-of-a-kind pieces: hand-knotted rugs, kilims, khorjin, textile pieces and Persian handicrafts. For this reason, before purchase, we always invite customers to contact us in order to confirm availability, price, product condition and the arrangements for delivery or collection.

Distance purchases

For purchases concluded at a distance, that is, without the customer being physically present in the shop, the consumer may exercise the right of withdrawal within 14 days of delivery of the product, in accordance with the applicable rules.

The customer is not required to state a reason for withdrawal, but must notify us of the intention to return the product within the required time.

Condition of the returned product

The product must be returned in the same condition in which it was delivered.

In particular, the product must not have been damaged, washed, modified, altered or used in a way that goes beyond an ordinary inspection at home. For rugs, kilims, khorjin and textile pieces, we ask that the item be packed with care, avoiding folds, humidity, dirt, improper exposure or damage during transport.

In the case of antique, older or particularly delicate pieces, the condition of the item on return will be checked with care, also taking into account the specific nature of the piece.

Return shipping costs

Unless otherwise agreed in writing before purchase, the shipping costs for returning the product are borne by the customer.

The customer is responsible for proper packing and return shipment until delivery to our shop. We recommend using a tracked shipping service suitable for the value and delicacy of the product.

Refund

After receiving the returned product and checking its condition, we will proceed with the refund of the amounts due according to the applicable rules.

Unless otherwise agreed, the refund will be made using the same payment method used for the purchase.

The refund may be withheld until the product has been received, or until proof of return shipment has been provided, whichever comes first.

Damaged or non-conforming products

If the product received appears damaged in transit or not in line with what was agreed, the customer is invited to contact us as soon as possible, attaching photographs of the product, the packaging and the issue found.

In these cases we will review the situation and provide guidance on the most appropriate solution.

Purchases made in the shop

For purchases concluded directly in our Verona shop, the right of withdrawal provided for distance sales does not apply in the same way.

Any exchange, return or agreed solution is assessed case by case, depending on the product, its condition and the agreements made at the time of purchase.

Customised products or services

Any customised services, work carried out on request, restoration, cleaning, adjustments or other work agreed with the customer follow specific conditions defined before the service is carried out.
