Two panels with similar designs form the front of this Persian Qucian Khorjin. Large dark shapes outlined in ivory and red stand out against the red ground, arranged around an ochre rectangle containing two star motifs. The ivory borders feature small repeating multicoloured geometric motifs. A band striped in blue, ochre and ivory joins the two panels. The same sequence of colours runs across the entire back, contrasting with the patterned front.
