This Persian maiolica plate has a circular shape, a shallow profile and a ring foot. Stylised fish with light-coloured bodies and curved tails fill the yellow background, facing different directions. Dark outlines define the figures, while blue, green and burgundy grids cover the upper parts of their bodies. A cream-coloured rim frames the design. On the reverse, the fish decoration continues around the foot.
