This Persian maiolica bowl has flared sides, a light-coloured rim and a small circular foot. Stylised fish with light-coloured bodies and long curved tails decorate both the inside and outside. The background alternates cream-coloured areas with ochre and orange shades. Dark outlines define the figures, with green and brown grids on the upper parts of their bodies and thin yellow bands near the heads. A dark line marks the edge of the decoration along the rim.
