Details
This Persian maiolica sculpture depicts a stylised animal head with an elongated muzzle and curved horns. Behind the head rises an upright form, divided by raised horizontal bands and topped by a flared rim. Both parts rest on a shaped base. Turquoise alternates with terracotta-coloured areas, while a network of fine cracks runs across the glossy parts of the surface.
