Khatam miniature from Persia, with an opening rectangular structure and rounded corners. The green front centres on a shaped medallion filled with symmetrical floral motifs in cream, blue, pink, orange, and green. Fine leafy decoration fills the surrounding field, edged by a narrow golden border. The sides alternate brown bands with dense geometric inlay formed by pale star patterns. Viewed closely, the precision of the Khatam design becomes especially clear.
